PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS

Summer Arts College is an opportunity for children ages 6-15 to be a part of an imaginative and fun week long cultural experience. During each session, professional artists and teachers give students a chance to participate in visual arts, drama, music, and dance. At the end of each session, on Friday afternoon, students perform for parents and family.

A theatre by youth for youth, CATS offers classes for children ages 4-18 in all aspects of theatre education. Classes include Creative Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre, Private Voice, Technical Theatre, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and more.

Summer Youth Enrichment Dance Camp: June 4-22. Three-week session, weekdays 8:15 a.m. - 3 p.m. Students with recent dance training study dance technique with company members. Camp ends with showcase event and awards ceremony. 

Dallas Summer Musicals Academy of Performing Arts,

Students ages 7 - adult learn to integrate singing, dancing and acting into musical theater performances at Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas during two-week workshop.

Garland Civic Theater,

One-week sessions for ages 8 - 16, M-F, 9 am - 4 pm. Campers will learn acting skills, movement and theater techniques while stretching their imaginations. All camps will be at the Garland Civic Theatre (108 North Sixth Street) on the square in downtown Garland.

Teatro Dallas Children's Summer Theater Program,

Five-week session for ages 6-16 explores all aspects of theater, and closes with a full production for family and friends. Classes taught in English and Spanish. Click the "Education" link from the Home page.
