GAPAGT Standing Committees for 2011-2012


Programs:
Coordinates the guest speaker program and book studies; researches parenting resources for the newsletter and Web site.

Membership: Networks with campus groups, magnet schools and parent groups to encourage memberships at each school in the district. Plans the summer family party and other membership events. 

    Communications:  Keeps members informed through our newsletter and Web site, and manages all publicity and public correspondence for the Association. 

    Legislation: Reviews local, state, and national issues related to gifted and talented education, and acts as a liaison with the school district on advocacy issues.

    Family/Community Involvement:  Develops interaction opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, mentors, and independent study programs with families, businesses, and community organizations.
